Just wanted to say "Hello" - have been lurking for a week or so. Lots of interesting posts here.
Anyway, just began searching for a new set of wheels to relegate my Explorer to part-time status. I had a 1990 Mustang GT and wanted another Mustang after my father bought his '03 GT Vert last summer. I test drove an '07 GT yesterday. I can't believe how different the feel is between the new models and the prior generations. The ride and handling is far superb as is the ride quality. The new GT has so much road savvy now.
I also drove a Fusion SEL V6 to see what would best fit my needs. It is not a bad car - just not as exciting as the new Mustang GT models.
Thanks,
Eric

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, very appreciated.
Ant, the only issue with the decision between the two cars is that I drive 25k-30k per year and I don't know if I want to do that to a Mustang. It won't bother me as much if I get a Fusion.
I have to say though, I thought the Mustang had a better feel. I like the sport seats and though the handling was perfect. I like the feeling of the steering - perfect for me.
