Hey everybody, I just ordered a brand new Windveil Blue '07 V6 and I'm wondering what kinds of modifications I can make to it that can improve the fuel mileage. It'll be a street car, so performance increases aren't required but wouldn't be unappreciated. However, saving some cash on gas while personalizing my car a little bit is going to take priority.

Any of you experienced modders out there willing to help the newbie? Any and all suggestions welcome and appreciated.

Thanks,

Pete

Welcome man, throw a CAI (Cold air intake) or K&N air filter. Also im sure you have lead foot disease from it being a new car and all, once that goes away your gas mileage should improve.

Welcome to the forum. A highflow catback exhaust and headers will add power and get you some better gas mileage

Some new pullies and a nice tune, along with moderate driving will get you about 3-5mpg more.

How long did it take to get your car after you ordered it? or did the dealer locate one for you?

When I ordered it, she said 4 to 8 weeks until delivery. She also mentioned that orders that they had been placing had been coming in closer to the 4 week mark, so I'm hoping that mine follows the trend. It's only been two weeks, and I'm not sure which is worse: knowing that I'm getting a brand new Mustang and it just isn't here yet, or knowing that when it gets here I'm gonna have to write that down payment check...
