Another n00b...
Thursday night I finally did it.. After being a GM guy all my life, I went and took delivery of a new 2006 GT convertible stick. Black on black leather, every option except heated seats, 18" premium wheels.
I don't know anything about these cars yet, except they're a blast to drive. I had two V6 convertibles and a V6 coupe for rentals while traveling for work, and really enjoyed them. I just decided that if I was going to own one, it needed to be an 8, so.. Here I am.
I live just outside Buffalo, NY, in Lockport. If anyone's in the area, I'd love to meet up and learn some stuff about the car, what the most bang/buck is for performance, etc..

Purchased an 07 GT a couple of months ago and have done a lot of research on the web in terms of performance parts. In terms of bang for the buck, the best thing you can do is a cold air induction kit. I did a Steeda CAI kit with charge motion plates and underdrive pulleys and got 312WRHP on the dyno. That is a big increase for realatively small dollars. It is the suspension that I have spent the most on so far, but there is no BMW that can get me in the corners now. If you are interested in suspension let me know and I will give you the details. Remember that a convertible is a little heavier and not quite as stiff as a coupe.
