Hi, my name is Devin, and I am 21 years old. I have two years into the Navy, got 4 left. I recently purchased a dark green 89 LX hatchback. Current mods are: Cobra R 18x8 rims, Eibach pro springs, flowmaster exhaust, 3.73 gears, 3 link rear suspension, panyard bar, and some other suspension parts. Not sure of everything. The guy who had it before me was building it towards road racing. Best handling mustang I have ever driven. I used to have a 78 mustang hatch with a 302 but it only had 3.08's in the back, so it wasn't that quick. I want to redo the exhaust, but I haven't decided on which way to do it. I want a set of headers, but do not know whether I should go with long tube, or shorty. X-pipe or H? As for what's after the cats, I was thinking of a SLP Loudmouth setup. Any advice? I plan on putting on a pair of aluminum heads also, so I will need a set of headers that will mate with the stock heads, and the aftermarket ones I get for it. My goal is around 350HP and I figure with a full exhaust, heads, cam, and intake that I will be close to that.
It was in service in connecticut I think, I dunno too much about it, I'm the third owner and the guy I bought it from didn't say much except that it was originally an undercover cop car
