Default Valve adjustment help

Someone please help

I have read everything I can fined on valve adjustment formy 90 mustang gt and I'm still having problems.[]Chilton repair manual states you need to bleed down the lifters. Then adjust the valves in 3 step. (1)TDC on the compression stroke, (2) then rotate the engine 360deg, (3) then 90deg. Ford tech say I don't need to bleed down the valves.Do I need to bleed down the valves? How dose the afect the valve adjustment?

thanks for any help

There is really no adjustments necessaryin the valve trane if you have factory heads. Torque the bolts down to specified torque and that is it. These style valves are basicly non adj. in stock setup. No need to bleed lifters down
