Hello all,

I am a first time owner of a Mustang. I bought a 2001 with a V6. After driving it I am sorry that I have missed out on driving one for the 15 years that I have been driving. I have always driven imports, Honda, Toyota, and I just traded a BMW 325i for the Mustang. I absolutley love the car. Best car that I have ever driven.

I would have liked to have bought a GT but could not justify the car payment and the insurance. Actually the insurance is what killed the GT for me. I have a clean driving record and no accidents, 30 years old and still the insurance would be $110 a month for the GT. Oh well, I shall wait. I love what I have though and will maybe do a few minor mods.

Anyway glad to finally have one.

welcome to the boards. yeah the GT's are more fun, but, theres a couple people on here w/ v6's that might give my 5.0 a REAL good run if not beat me. so, you can do work to 'em. but, welcome aboard. have fun.

welcome to the boards!!!! nice choice on cars, you can always justify the V8!

 

Believe me if there was someway I could make it work and get the insurance $30 lower a month I would get the V8[]. Mine is in the shop right now getting the window adjusted and they gave me a GT to drive around and I am about to pee myself[sm=icon_rock.gif]. That GT is a blast! Someday I will have one.

 

welcome, gt's are sweet but there are definitely some mods that can make your v6 have more attitude
