I just joined because I'm currently doing research to drop a 4.6 or a 5.0 into my 240sx and am starting to look for a totaled donor car.

Any information on year models to avoid because of engine problems?

Car: 1990 Nissan 240sx
-Complete SPLParts Multi-link (Other than control arms)
-SPL Tension Rods
-Tein Coilovers with Camber Plates
-5Zigen GN+ Wheels
-SPL Aluminum Subframe Bushings
-5 Lug Conversion
-300ZX Aluminum Brake Calipers on Supra Rotors

welcome to the boards dude! sounds like your gonna have one helluva ride!

my advice, unless you can fork out the money for a 99+ 4.6 PI engine / tranny then get a 5.0

what ^^ said. welcome to the boards. sounds like you got a plan for the 240. you got the edfc along w/ the coilovers or just the coilovers ? youd better get a NICE lsd for the rear end if you get a v8 put in it. and axles. and LOTS of other parts. lol
