Default newbie in the Midwest

Hi, I have always had a great appreciation for Mustangs and I MAY have the opportunity to purchase one at a steal. [8D]
its a 99 or 00 verty-i am still getting all of the info. My only concern is the milage. How much is too much? The owner is in a situation and needs to sell it.

Thanks UmmAminah

How many miles are on it? Should not be a problem unless she is smoking or having other issues. Welcome to the board.

If you are wondering how the car has been treated, check under the hood, under the seats, check the rear end, make sure nothing is leaking or rusted out bad. Let the owner take you for a ride. Does it feel strong, is the tranny smooth. Listen for noises or anything else that may indicate something is wrong. Another thing to look at as well, if the car is mostly stock, you can purchase the car work your way up to build you want. A highly modded car could possible mean headaches if the previous owner cut corners, but not always. Trust you gut, if you are happy with the car and happy with the price, then its a good deal. Check the values on that model of car with available options, and you should get an idea of a round a bout price you should be paying for the car. Good luck.

Thank you Tpony.
And I am waiting to hear more about the car. Thanks for the advise. I plan on test driving it soon.
