Default Lock

Hey I got a question. I know it's kinda stupid but it happens to my 21 y/o bro's truck too. When the steering wheel locks, how do you unlock it and why does it lock in the first place?

You should put this in the tech forum. Also add what type of car/truck it is.

I think it has something to do with theft protection...The only way tyo lock it is with the key, I know you need to position the key in a certain place and then crank on the wheel a little bit. This is purely speculation on my part!

All you have to do is push the steering wheel to the point where it won't turn anymore and turn the key.
