So I just bought my brand new 05 Mustang. It's a V6, windveil blue, tan leather interior, interior upgrade package, with spoiler (NONE of the silly Mustang decals on the side though)... at any rate, I'm looking to buy the GT fogs and grill to put on. I can buy them through the aftermarket department at my Ford Dealer for like 1000 bucks installed. Anyone know of anywhere I could get them cheaper and do my own install? I've been searching for a while and can't find anything. HELP a princess in need ...

I doubt anyone is selling them yet, wait until summer and I'm sure you'll be able to find them.

Welcome to the forums. For what it is worth, I gave the Dealer Rep.s HE-double L, at the auto show here in Indy during the Holiday break. I told them I thought it very irresponsible of Ford to take a safey feature (fog lights), and reduce it to a styling statement. People who drive in fog should be able to buy factory fog lights with the V6 or the V8.

It made me so mad, I started looking to buy a New 05 C6 Vette. Just couldn't let go of the extra $23K, I really am glad I bought a 05 GT, 5 spd. last week.

Good luck with the install. Of course, you need to change the light switch in the dash also...I think I would opt. for the dealer as well.

 

P.S. stangprincess, I wanted the Windveil Blue as my first choice, but couldn't find one that the dealer would negociate on, so I bought redfire. Still very happy !!

Hi ... woke up this morning to SNOW ! WTF ?! Glad I have a daily driver in addition to my new baby... I would be LIVID if I woke up and had to take her out into this ****. (well I mean, when I get her...)

Welcome....Why fake it out you should have just bought the GT.....JMO

 

As a 20 year old insurance on the GT plus the difference in monthly payment wasn't feasable. I'd rather buy my car on my own and pay for it on my own, than buy what I cant afford and run to mommy and daddy for help. I think you should be able to respect that.
