Default Another newbie!

I want a convertible performance car and that pretty much limits me to a Cobra (would NEVER own a 'Vette and can't afford a Viper). Am planning on buying a '03 or '04 Cobra (heard those two years were the best?) soon and want some input from those in the know. What should I be looking for? Any common issues I should look for and steer clear of?
I'm currently a Cadillac owner and have been listening to CTS-v owners crowing about how fast their cars are. I REALLY want to sell my car and get some REAL power. I test drove a '05 GTO the other day and thought IT was fast as hell. I understand that the Cobra will pretty much eat the GTO for lunch so I'm even MORE excited about getting one.

Welcome to the forums. A cobra will eat an 04 GTO, but i'm not sure about the 05, apparently they put up some impressive numbers.

Well the 03-04 are the best years because they have the supercharger and all that stuff. But if you want ALOT of power, go with the Saleen S281 Extreme! 445HP =

Saw like 6 Cobras last week here in Indy, at Kenny Brown Racing. At least one Vert. It was tuff. Makes me wish I looked harder for an 04 coupe, prior to 05 GT purchase, not like I am suffering or anything. It was at the shop, that I found out how serious the 04 Cobra engine internals are.

Good Luck !!
