1st Speeding Ticket, Little Scared
I'd skip the circumstancial details because I doubt the judge will even care about that.
So I got a ticket for going 78 in a 55 on some old country road. I'm 16 years old and I've had my liscense for 7 months.
I know people at school who have done worse then that and not lost their liscenses, even my sister.
What are the odds that I lose mine?

I think none if you only got a ticket. Your insurance, on the other hand, just went from $1,000 to $1 million a month. So, check with them to see if you could take some defensive drving classes or stuff like that to bring that down to lets say....1/2 million..... Of course, I am kidding on the insurance prices, but expect a hike.

You might get the death penalty, but if you do... it will be years and years and years before they actually put you to death, and you can appeal a bunch of times. Then, when they are getting ready to strap you down, the governor might call on the red phone and save your life, especially if it is an election year... or he might just let them throw the switch, but don't worry too much about it.

Well I had a buddy who got caught drag racing in a town on a road that runs through a park going 110 in a 25 but I think they only clocked him at 74 but still he just lost it for 3 months and 100 dollar fine but insurance is outragous. The guy he was racing only got a fine of 100 dollars. I dont think you will lose you liscense but like the said get a job or work more hours

negative, you will not lose your license on your first speeding ticket. if your 30 over the limit, then its an iffy depending on the cops mood, jail+suspension+impound car, 20 over is wreckless driving, in california if you get 4 points or more in 18 months its a 6month-1 year suspension, 30 over is 2-3 points alone! 20 over if he writes down wreckless specifically, its 2 points, normal speeding is 1 point.
