Hello all,
I am a 62 year old, retired stockbroker from Vancouver, Washington. I owned a '93 GT purchased new in '93 and drove it trouble free until 2003. I now have a black, 2004 GT, 5 speed with dark graphite leather. If this car is half as reliable as my old '93, I will be happy. Thinking of adding a supercharger for a bit more power. Incidentally, I bought the '04 from a dealer in Walnut Creek, California.......with rebate and dealer discount, the price was just over $21,000. My local dealer here in Vancouver is offering a 6 cyl, 2005 coupe for over $24,000. Hmmmmm. I don't know about the rest of the country, but 2005's are difficult to find up here in the Northwest.....and when you do, they all have "additional dealer markup" of $3,000 or more. No offense to anyone, but these are basic Mustangs......Not Shelbys, Saleens, Raush's, SVT's etc. What's up???

RE: New to Forums
Welcome to the forums, sounds like you had a great 93' GT, I don't see why your 04' GT shouldent last you at least as long, sounds like you take good care of them. As far as the price of the 05's go.... They are the car that everyone wants (supply and demand) so there for the dealers are getting as much as possiable out of them, as they are always trying to make their profit bigger!! An i do think that they are hard to come by most other places in the contry also. I would defently put a s/c on your GT, there is a lot of info on the forums about them if you are trying to decide on one, just go check out the pipes, boost, juice section, and the 4.6 section. You can also do a search on here for the info as they are debaited often. Good luck with your GT and enjoy both the forums and your car!!!

Welcome, your right, if that price was for a 05 V6 verison whoa... I paid just a grand more for my GT. They're hard to get around here as well. I was fortunate to order mine back in October of 04. I've had it since December..
Would love to seem some pics of your 04 if you get a chance!
