Newbie
Hey-o! I'm Cat and the recently new owner of a 2002 Mustang Gt 5-speed. It wasn't my first choice car, but now that I have it I love it. There is a long back story as to how it became mine and I'll post that at the end of this little post thing.
Anywho, so I am 20, from central Illinois and I'm a bit crazy according to most people I know. I like to drive hard and fast but not to the point that my brother does. My mustang is a really pretty cobalt blue, and it has yokohama m-series back tires... and I'm getting new front tires soon.
I haven't really decided where to go with it yet. I want to get it to show mode, just like my eclipse was. I think I'm going to start small... like with new seats, neons on the undercarriage, and a new shifter. I need to learn a lot more before I work on performance parts though.
::BACKSTORY::
Soooo my brother and I both bought our first cars with our own moneywithin a month of eachother. He got the Mustang and I bought an 03 Eclipse. We were both pretty happy for about 8 months. In July of this year (2007) I was on my way to pick up my boyfriend from my cousin's house when my car was hit by a 16 yr old going 50mph. He had failed to yeild, and made an illegal right turn right into the driver side of my car. My car and I were both pretty much totaled out. I mean... it's tire was perpendicular to the ground, the entire body was shifted, you couldn't really even tell it was a car...and I was laid up for 3 months. When I was finally recovered enough to start thinking about getting a new car we searched all over the state of Illinois for another 2003 Black Mitsubishi Eclipse within the 10,000 price range that the insurance company would pay for. NOTHING! There was not a single eclipse... even in another color, under 13,000. I was starting to give up when I heard my brother talking about selling the mustang to get a truck. Well... I didn't know how to drive stick shift, and my brother usually doesn't go for any of my suggestions... but I asked if I could buy it from him. Surprisingly he said yes. I paid him $500 cash and took over the rest of his payments.
YAY FOR NEW CARS!
