NOT MUCH, maybe .5 or 1 hp... definatly not worth it. YourAC clutch isn't engaged unless yourAC is on, meaning your belt is just going around a free spinning pully when your not using it. Now, if yourAC is on... its gonna rob a TON of power, especially at higher rpms. Just turn off your AC when your racing.</P><edited><editID>mdvaldosta</editID><editDate>37892.9162962963</editDate></edited>

Hell yeah, if you want to feel the power loss, start driving and get up to speed, then turn the AC on while you're moving, and expect a nice jolt...<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">But look at it this way, if it's that hot outside, racing probably isn't a good idea because your car will perform like a dog anyway. I wouldn't take the AC off if I were you...you'll regret it when your car feels like a sauna.</P>

If you decide to get rid of the ac, get the ford ac delete which moves the power steering up. I did it and it works pretty nice...

you dont have to get a ac delete kit just take out the compressor and go to the nearest parts store and get a shorter belt it might take a couple times to get the right one but you'll save some cheese.</P>

I don't think you can do that on a 5.0, you can witht eh smog pump, but if you need something where the AC was to get the belt around.
