Default Hello all

I have been lurking here for a couple weeks, have found these forums to be very informative and enjoyable. I am on my second Mustang, both droptops... you couldn't give me a hardtop (well, maybe a GT500. LOL, just kidding please take no offense) I only bought a Mustang for thesummer fun toyas I didn't want to drive inwinter or as a daily driver.

Had a 2001 V6 vert since new that just sold in October 07 with 45k miles, with the intent of buying a new or used 2005+ Mustang GT in spring 08. Well, came across THE car a bit early, 2005 with 4000 miles, and couldn't pass it up. Hey, what better time for a buyers market for a sports/convertible than December??? It still smells new and at about$14-16k off a new 08, I really liked the price. I have not bought a used car since about 1989, but I think this baby is my favorite! While I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the old V6, I can't wipe the smile off my face driving this GT 5 speed. Unfortunately, this is the first "muscle" car I have owned in my 40+ years, and I am like a kid in high school with a new toy. If I don't get a ticket this coming summer, it will be a dang miracle! I had always stored for the winter my old stang, but can't seem to permantly put this thing away, taking it out for some spins on clear dry days.

See current mods in sig. I only live about 20 minutes from Brenspeed, so a CAI/tuner from them is probably in my future this summer, as well as LCA's and at some point some new wheels.

Anyway, thanks for all the good info here.

Buying a slightly used car can be a great deal. I made a similar purchase. Welcome to the forums!

Hey Bob,
Congrats on that '05 GT Vert. We'd love to see some pictures.
