Default cam selection and help

Hey everyone. I'm looking at getting cams for my 2002 gt. I know what they do, but that is as far as it goes. I have a few questions maybe someone can help me with. 1st which is the most dependable brand, comp, crane or other? My car is a daily driver and do freeway driving but also the drag strip from time to time? What stage? What else would I need to buy, springs, lifters ect.? Once completed do i need a tune? I have a diablo preditor, but is that going to work? Also i have a SLP LM1 , which is very loud. Would cams sound bad on the SLP or should i switch to flowmaster. The SLP basically has to hollow mufflers, that's it. I appreciate any help or advice you may have to offer. Thanks a lot.

I'm tired of losing to LS1's haha

I say go with a custom grind for your setup or future setup which can be bought for the same price. Your going to have to do more than cams and exhaust to beat the ls1's. Welcome.
