hey wassup guys.
just picked up a 1988 mustang 5.0 and im new to the whole ford scene.Only thing done to it is flowmaster exhausts and cobra wheels,adone by previous owner.it has 127xxx miles.It's an automatic because i got surgerey on my left knee so i had to sell my 240sx=(.
i have a few questions though,and hopefully you guys can answer them for me:
1.whats the difference between the 88 5.0 and 89+ 5.0 motors?i've read that there was a difference somewhere here,but i cant find the thread
2.how would i know if i have a AOD or AOD-e transmission?
3.im planning on getting a B&M hammer shifter.IM pretty confused as to how to shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd then to 4th.Someone told me that from 1st to 2nd you would have to shift up then down,something like that.
but in this video the man just shifts up
