HELP!!!!
I have an issue with my car that maybe someone can figure out. I have a 2003 mustang gt. I like to keep it looking clean inside and out. The problem I'm going to explain, I never had with any other car I've owned. Therewas 2 out of 4 times when I was cleaning off my engine, using a mild mix of Royal Purple, after rinsing off the engine, " using low water pressure "my car would run like sh*t. It would idle ok but when you were driving and it was under a load it felt like it was missing. It would sputter and shake really bad. I don't use running water to rinse my engine anymore. I just use a wet rag to clean it up a bit. That solved my problem for 3 years. I now have a 10 psi P1sc Procharger on it with a bunch of other goodies and I tell you, this car is sick with power. I love it but, I'm back to my old problem. There was a day around 12/2007 when we had a very humid/foggy day here in Pa. and when I went to start my car it started its problem again. It fixes its self in like 2 days whatever it is but that time I checked all the plugs, the injectors, checked the relays for moisture, checked the maf, nothing looked wrong. Today, 02/13/2008 it was rainy all day with lots of flooding on our roads. I hit many puddles while I was out, the car ran good. The last HUGE puddle I hit, I had to slow down and wade through it going 10mph. It was about 3"s deep. As soon as I passed through it I noticed my FORD was running like sh*t again. Some please save me from buying an import. Oh yea, one thing I just thought of is my off road h pipe withO2 sensor simulators. You think moisture might be getting inside the wire connection? Thanks to anyone with a suggestion.

RE: HELP!!!!
Sounds like there is definitely a loose seal around something electrical. Given the electronics on today's car it could bea number of things. This is probably gonna be one of those things that you'll have to use a process of elimination to figure out. Maybe take a day and one by one run some water over exposed electrical elements and see what happens. This is gonna be a slow process but I can't think of any quick solve answers.
Good Luck!!!
