Default New Pony Rider

Just wanted to drop in and say hi to all my new STANG brothers and sisters.
I actually bought this car for my wife and myself's 15th wedding anniversary.
It's a 40th anniversary Torch Red Covertible Trimmed in Black, I am a Chevy fan at heart but I must say this is the funnest most beautiful car I have ever owned, and this coming from someone who just sold my long time Z-28 that had a 383 stroker engine that would scare the living you know what out of you, BUT then comes the STANG (my 1st) and it really eased the pain of parting with my Z a WHOLE lot, I have yet to find another one like it any where online or anywhere else, it has the 4.6 v8, some type of factory ground kit, the gorgeous 3 " chrome exhaust tips actually exit through the rear valance, it has the shaker hood, custom flaming rocker panel stripes that my wife entrusted me to do and I must admit they look great, I did a black and red pony logo below the hood scoop, and custom 40th anniv. stripes down the hood, it has traction control 4 wheel ABS which makes this car stick to the road like its on rails, I plan on making some engine mods in the near future, not that it really needs it but what the hey might as well and play a little, I will try and post some pics so the rest of you can appreciate how beautiful this car is.
I hope to keep this car for a long long time as I think the value will increase with time, as it is a conv. , GT, lots of factory add-ons, and I read that only 5700 plain jane 40th anniverseries were produced so I would love to know how many of these are in existence.
I bought the car from a one owner single little old lady that decided it was just more than she could handle, it has 20,000 miles on it and lets just say I got it for a song an dance, glad i found the sites and look forwards to conversing, and anything you guys may be able to tell me bout this car will be greratly appreciated, Thanks, will add some pics tommorow latest ones I have are not what car looks like now.

Welcome to the forums rd...when I bought my Stang I did three things I swore I'd never do 1) buy a Ford (Ok...it takes some longer than other to get enlighted) 2) buy a black car and 3) buy a vert. I bought a 2004 GT for my son this past November, only had 15K miles on it and really clean. I had the opportunity to take it on a short trip...loved the car. Within 10 days I was at my local Ford dealer making a deal on my 07 Cali Special. I haven't had this much fun driving a car since I was 16 years old...and that's been a while ago.
