New member checking in
Hi. Just thought I'd check in and say "hello" to everyone. I bought a 2007 GT this week.
I had actually gone into the dealershipwith intentions of buying the 2008 Bullitt they had in the showroom. After being told they were selling the Bullitt for $5K over the sticker price and the price was "absolutely non-negotiable" I walked out in disgust. I happened to spy a very sharp looking black '07 Mustang GT 5-speed convertible on the lotwith 13K on the odometer and kept it in the back of my mind. I took a few days to think it over and went back to test drive it. After haggling with the salesman and sales manager for a while, we finally reached an agreement on theprice. I picked up the car onTuesday. I LOVE this car!
My very first car was a usedlight blue 1967 Mustang 289 CID with a black vinyl roof. It had the directional signals embedded in the hood scoops. Gorgeous little car. I still have dreams about that carevery once in a while. It seems kind of fitting that my 2007 is alsoa used car and manufactured 40 years after my first one. I kind of feel like I've come full circle and returned to my "auto origins" or something. Something tells me I'm going to have even more fun withthis GT than I had with my first Mustang!
