im a new member, and have been obssesed with mustanngs mywhole life,and the prouud owner of a 88 5.0 hatchback that i just bought, ive done a few mods and hope you guys can give me some good advice

thanks, ive got a question though and noene seems to give me the right answer, i just bought a 88' 5.0 HOhatctback, ive got 2.5" exaust, offroad h-pipe,cold air intake,70 mm throttle body, aluminum racing pullies, how many horses do u think im pushin

Depending on motor wear and such, I'd guess roughly 250-260 crank. 225-230 wheels.</P>

It all still comes down to mileage and wear and tear though. I'm assuming relatively low miles on original or rebuild.</P>


The more miles or the harder it was run, the more likely your compression stinks and that can dump those numbers real quick.</P>


So 220 could very well be quite realistic.</P>

even with all of those mods, i am sure that the car was never run hard, it used to be a girls car, the guy rebuilt it for his girl and she never drove it, by the way i appreciate ur help

welcome aboard..I'd save about 15-20 hp gain..the better T/B is most likely hurting hp.. you need to add a bigger mass first..hope this helps
