Default Finally bought my dream car

I have wanted a mustang since I was 14 and started reading Mustang 5.0 on the shelf at the local grocery store. Now that I am settled down a bit in life, I have taken the plunge and made the purchase.

Everyone, say hello to Sasha

Sasha is a 2008 Mustang GT w/ manual transmission. GT Appearance package, Interior Upgrade package w/ Tan leather seats, ambient lighting and Sirius Satellite radio.

Yes, that's the Dark Candy Apple Red. I have already gotten some comments on the color. I was a bit skeptical about it at first (Was going for a Black or Blue one when I went to the dealership), but I have really warmed up to this color.

I've never been a fan of ANY red but when I saw the Candy Apple Red on the new stangs, I have to admit. I like it! My wife's Escape is some sort of metallic red and it's just too dark. The CA Red is just right though! Nice car!

I got the tan interior (I think Ford calls it Light/Medium Parchment). I'm in Texas so I am hoping that makes the seats a bit cooler during the warm summer months.

Good luck on waiting for your new ride. What options did you get on your order?

BTW, the best part was X-Plan pricing through my company meant no negotiations, which was nice since this is my 1st new car (1st car was a used F-150, then I had a used Intrepid for a little over a year)

ahh tan.. that's cool.. yeah, valid point, didn't even think about temp. i went with Dark Charcoal (black) for everything.. (i'm in ky - so i get swings of both hot & cold) but i'm getting the windows tinted so that'll help out alot..

oh man.. i got everything but dvd & navigation.. here's a copy of my window sticker: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums...st&id=6715

but that doesn't even begin to tell the story.. i've already bought over $4k in mods for her.. lol.. i got Roush Rear window louvers (p-coat matte black) i got a matte black Roush 3-piece rear spoiler, i got Dark Candy apple red Roush 1/4 window louvers, i got DarkCandy apple red 3dCarbon 1/4 scoops, and a matte black CDC aggressive Chin spoiler.. gonna take the factory GT appearance package scoop and probably paint it matte black too.. or just wait to get a shaker kit... i'm not 100% sure on the scoop yet.. i'm gonna remove the GT badges on the front fenders, and i had custom ones made up (which i showin my avatar (skull flames)from www.autobadges.com ) got a 12" black chrome annodized aluminum stubby antenna and a bunch of smaller things.. sequential taillights, rear deck black-out panel tons of interior mods, a bunch of paint that i'm gonna tackle myself.. my list is huge.. lol..

i'vegot a drag-pak for her... 90mm CAI, 4.10 rear end gears, shorty headers, high flow oil filter, short-throw hurst/ford racing shifter with a red carbon fiber shift ****, i'm getting a magnaflow cat-back system for her, and tinting the windows... then maybe in a year or so, i'll supercharge her +135hp.. =D should put me somewhere in the 500hp range..

this is my dream car, and i'm able to do it up right, i will keep her till i'm buried in the ground! =D

oh yeah.. i got X-plan too.. =) i completely agree.. this is my 2nd "new" car, but my first one i've ever ordered custom with exactly what i want. i'm keeping my 99' F150.. gotta have something to haul junk with.. oh man, i can't list all the vehicles i've had.. i've pretty much had something from all the"american makers" and the plymouth was made by mitsibushi, so i don't think it counts.. lol, i've hadjeep, dodge, chevy, buick, olds, plymouth, and Ford of course.. i always go back to Ford.. =D when my stang gets here, we'll have 3 Fords in the driveway.. w00t.. lol..

i was kinda shocked seeing how little the X plan took off the car, considering i was used to seeing large amounts removed from trucks & suvs... but every little bit helps i suppose.. =)

hope i didn't bore ya.. lol..
