Default Looking for some sound

Just bought my first mustang a couple weeks ago, 2007 v6 base model nothing extra but i want to change that. First thing im working on is the sound. Ive been looking at the American Thunder axel back single pipe mostly, but when i took my ride down to jba they reccomended theirs. So i was just wondering what ya'll think. JBA axel back or the AT axel back? (true dual is not an option at this point [:@])

Welcome! JBA is a good brand. Based on what you said, you would need to check some vids on youtube, and see what you like. They all sound pretty good, just depends on your need. Good luck in the decision, and enjoy the forums!

First off, welcome. It really is a personal preference in sound and how much $$$$ you want to spend. I will tell you that the single most impressive mod I have made to my 07 v-6 was the exhaust. Even my mechanic couldn't believe it was a v-6 when I pulled up and goosed it. If you want HEAD-TURNING sound that isn't overly loud and obnoxious, go true dual exhaust with an x-pipe. The mufflers will give it the signature sound. The last thing I wanted was for my stang to sound like a ricer, and believe me, you can drop $800 and get just that! Grabber is right, I spent HOURS on youtube, before I chose my Pypes setup. That being said, mine sounds better than anything I saw on Youtube. I just ordered a digital camcorder, so I will post some sound threads, hopefully within the week. [sm=signs003.gif]

Welcome to the forums.

I agree with everyone else here. I listened to some sound clips not only on the manufactures websites but other sites and talked to several people about what they were running. That said I decided to use JBA Headers and flowmaster mufflers.

Good luck with your project.
