Newbie intro...Hello !
My wife and I purchased our first Mustang for our daughter. I am a car guy from way back (Corvette nut, sorry)and recall being in the dealership in 1970 looking at a Grabber Blue 1969 CJ with my parents. Unfortunately, they went plain jane with a 1970 3 speed fastback. Oh well. We bought a 2006 White/tan with the pony package. Drive out was just over $16k. How did we do? Seems pretty loaded out and the V6 is enough for a new driver. It has 19k on the clock and is like new inside and out. All it needed was a front end alignment and a tail light bulb. Since she drives less than 5 miles a day, we hope it will last through college for her. Anything I need to know about these cars would be greatly appreciated. Little quirks and things to watch out for etc. Thanks !!
Wow! sounds like a sweet car.. hope you can post some pics sometime
I just got my first mustang at 16.. it's a 1994 GT 5.0L. I absolutely love it.. I bet she will love hers.

welcome! how old is your daughter? sounds like she has some pretty cool parents. I got mine, i am 16 and paid for my car, the whole rebuild, and everything to drive it. it kinda sucks, i wish my parents were more like you..
Extrmz- If she was a son and not a daughter, I would have searched for an older model and made it a project, but unfortunately times being what they are, girls have to be put in a safe reliable car and that usually means $$$$. You will appreciate all you did on your own. You can't buy that kind of experience.
I don't want anyone thinking she is spoiled. She earned this car with a lot of hard work in school and honor roll almost every year. It was over our budget but such a nice car we could not pass it up. I still have my car (a 74 Charger) I bought in High School 29 years ago and it sure would be cool if she kept this one that long.
