Default Hello

Hello Guys and Gals, First of all I am not new but finally got my self settled with a job making 10.00 an hour plus time in a half Ive been working my *** off since i got my new job because iam determined to get what i want. For a while i though about a 03-04 Cobra but then i realized that i would have barely enough to make the car payment unless i put a Pretty Penny down. after coming to that conclusion i decided lets try for something else like a Mach 1 they were a little pricey to but not as bad as a Cobra opposed to 25G. So then i decide let me look at the SN95 their going for under 10G some over but thats because they have low miles and what not. So then i decided you know what why not a Fox Body mustang 87-93 their priced ok but i dont know what i should do. I mean i want something fun to drive on the weekends i dont know to much about mustangs to begin with. How are the 5.0 with reliable what there any known common problems with those engines. i know you cant go wrong with a push rod motor. i believe the 97 or 98 Version Cobra was the last to have the 5.0 but then again i dont know to much so correct me if I am wrong. i Figure if i save up my 3-400 pay checks id have have a few G's in no time but then i could still get a mach 1 or Cobra if i really want to i would just have to put more down then i intend to like maybe 7-10G but that may not even cut it. so please feel free to post your comments concerns suggestions whatever you prefer. i will accept any educational knowledgeable answer. i will be going to school in the next month or so. So even if i got a fox body i could work on the car when i come home for break if i were to get either a SN95 or fox body if i decided to go that route. but there's always the option of the 99-04 GT

Welcome to the forum. Isn't it terrible to have so many options...you may be over thinking the whole thing. Decide what you really want, save what you need, and then go get it. Buying something you don't want but can afford usually results in an unhappy situation that will cost you more to get out of in the long run.

Default RE: Hello

thanks guys, well today i was at work and i had to move a a few cars around and one of them was a 06 mustang gt 5 speed i did very well i felt where the clutch grabbed immeidately and didnt stall out. so I am leaning towards either a 05-08 Mustang GT or maybe even a 99-04 version GT or Mach 1 my friend said that the 2006 and 2007 Clutches are slightly different because my friend has a 2007. if anyone can comfirm that. that would be awsome so what do you guys think?

Welcome to MFs.. go for the S197 body (05+) if you can afford it..

as far as i know, the same clutch is in all 2005-2009s - and i love mine in my 08.. course i'm used to big ole truck clutches...

good luck! choosing is 80% of the fun of it..
