Hi,
Im 16 and want to go fast.lol. I currently drive an 89 f250 351 5 speed. I have been looking to get a mustang because I love working on cars and making things faster, and mustangs look awesome and have an endless aftermarket. So ive been looking for a 5.0 around the 2500 range, when i came across an 88 gt. The guy says he will take 1600, clear title, has the body parts but they are not on the car. extra tires, rebuilt engine yada yada.

He says the car runs and drives good, shifts great. Its a pretty good drive to go get it, and i would have to take the trailer, so i want to make sure its a good buy before i go for it.
What do you guys think? what should i look for?

I'd offer him about $400 for that pile. If he says no, go find something better for your money.

 

How does it drive good if it has flat tires? I say don't get it, save a bit more and get something a little more reliable.

 

He says he has put new tires on it since then, so i duno. Im still waiting on pics of the "extras". I think im going to off him low, if not save some more $$ for a better car.

yeah he put new tires on it and then took them off what a lie i bet this guy would let it go for alot less so dont give up and remember its only if you really want it dont feel like you have a lemon when your done and paid

I told him 800 was my final offer. If he takes it i guess its a start, if not ill wait.

 

Good call on going cheaper, you may could have got him cheaper unless hes done something to it other than its appearance in the pics..
