And we love you.

FYI- My '05 redfire GT Conv. will likely be available soon if you are not dead set on an '08/'09, I have taken the depreciation bullet! Shoot me a PM if interested.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm going to test drive an '08 GT tomorrow. It's the Vapor Metallic. I really like it and hope to add black racing stripes very soon. Very 'Eleanor' like, I hope. Just waiting to see what kind of deal I can get, they wan $25,800 for it. I'm hoping for $24,500. It has the upgraded body package with the hood scoop and rolled exhaust tips. It has the 18' tires, and the carbon fiber looking dash kit.

If I buy it, maybe some of you know a good paint and body shop in the Birmingham, AL area.

Looks real good. I am a sucker for the 5 spoke mags. Don't care much for a lot of the new wheel styles.

I agree. Much more classic look.

So here's the thing, go ahead and laugh, but I've never driven a stick. And I just had my first outing. I'm afraid I'm going to tear the thing up! My husband is a great teacher. And I drove it around the block several times. Just can't seem to master the take off (Yes, I stalled it several times, but not every time). Once she's going, I'm good to go. Any advice or suggestions??

just keep practicing and you'll have it in no time, 1st gear is always the toughest,,, after that everythings cake... it helped my gf learn by making her realize she can get the car moving just by easing out the clutch ever so cautiously. it took her 2 weeks of constant driving and she now drives great... congrats on the car

Just give it enough gas and slowly let out the gas and don't panic. Also, these cars have more than enough power to take off from 2nd wich can be a little easier, just have to give it a little more gas before you let out the clutch. Just going to have to practice and don't worry about stalling.
