I've been a MOPAR guy since I got my first car, and have waited for years for Dodge to come out with an affordable sporty RWD car, I remember reading about the new Challenger a couple years ago, and was pretty stoked, then I saw the specs. 4100+ lbs, 18mpg,and darn near 50 grand? no thanks. A couple weeks ago I saw a red 02 Mustang GT at a local lot, & test drove it. A few days later it was in the driveway, I wouldn't say I'm a convert, but this is the best overall daily driver I have ever had. Already smoked a WRX and a first gen Camaro !

I was wanting to get one of the new challengers as well when they first announced them. Like you I got sticker shock from the 50k and the weight.
I bought my 69 and figure if I put 50k in it I'll not only have a nice car but a unique one as well.
