Hi everyone my name is Cassidy.

I recently owned a 95 5.0L Mustang. One of my friend's wrecked it in August. I just bought a 98 mustang gt. There is a crack in the intake manifold. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement intake manifolf that is not plastic? I have looked all over the Internet and I have not had any luck.

All I know is that it is plastic and it has a crack in it and anti-freeze is spraying everywhere. Someone told me there was a recall on that so I am going to contact the dealership to check it out.

Well I can fix it myself I just need to find the part. There are thousands of people that have had the same problem as me. Ford refuses to fix it but it is obviously their f**k up! It really makes me mad. I just can not figure out why they would use plastic. It makes no sense.

Plastic = lighter weight, lower cost. That's why Ford uses plastic.

I think the manifold problem is a '98 problem. I know the '98 Mustangs had some problems the other years didn't. Check eBay for a replacement if you just want a stock manifold. Is the crack in the lower mainfold?

I called the dealership and they will not do anything about it. I do not want a plastic manifold. I have looked on ebay but all I can find is a plastic one. It sucks and the stock replacement is like $300. If anyone knows of some good websites that have aftermarket manifolds please let me know.

Thanks,
