im new to the forum. i just got my 65 289 after i graduated high school. i payed eight hundred dollars for her..there was a dead squirrel in the floorboard. shes quite a mess..well she was anyways. holes in vinyl top, ripped seats , wiring harness hanging by the clutch. typical barn find. but i guess i kinda saw the beauty within. lol. talk about love at first sight. me and my boyfriend have been working on her together, and i got to hear her crank for the first time last week. i cried like a baby :] she sounds like heaven. anyways. ive been a mustang enthusiast all my life and this website seems to house all the mustang crazy ppl like me so i figured id check it out. :]

im from brazoria county. real close to houston. right up the road actually. thank you guys so much :] and i have HUGE plans for her , she is gonna be a stunner. her name is bossy. im so crazy in love with my car , its sad. lol

 

Welcome and goodluck with it! Sounds like it's going to be a very nice car! My cousin has the same one as you and him and his step-father rebuilt it (not sure about the engine, I'd assume so though). But the exterior of his car is amazing.

 

oh yeah they are gorgeous cars !! when i got her i intended to have her looking like she just rolled off the assembly line. but then i started spending my weekends at the drag strip...so...yeah. that is out the window. lol shell be screamin.
