Default Need advice on purchase

Hello guys, I'm new to this forum. I don't have a mustang (yet?) but I am considering getting one. My last car was a 1998 BMW M3. It had nice power and amazing handling but the maintenance was a pain in the ***. It recently got totalled by a dumb lady in a Chevy Aveo. Now I need another car. Mustangs look enticing.

Here's pretty much what I want in my next car: decent power, decent handling, more reliable than my m3. I have about ~19K to spend (although I would like to spend less). Do you guys think a mustang is right for me? If so, which gen/package would you recommend?

For that money, you can easily get a mint '05 GT or an '06 GT with a bit more miles. Another option is a V6 brand new.

A mustang is a great pick esp. for 19k. I would go with a 04 Cobra or a 06 GT. Just shop around.

+1 on the Cobra, and you can add the '04 Mach 1 to the list too.

There has been some talk on the forums of Ford giving $5,000 off of the purchase of a new car. So you could get a brand new Mustang GT for just a little more than 19k if this is true... haven't really looked into it myself.
