Newbie here
Just wanted to stop in and say hello. I'll tell you a little about me. I am a ASE Master Auto Technician now retired. I've been an engine builder since the 60's working in my Fathers speed shop. I've worked for Ellington Racing, Hendricks Motorsports along with other various places.
About the only work I do now are a few component builds and head porting using my Superflow 600. (no I'm not looking for work) but I have been back in the Mustang game for a few years. being a Chevy guy for many years I just decided to move on to something with a little more challange.
Since selling my 1971 SS Chevelle powered by a 540 Merlin I picked up a 1985 Mustang LX 5.0 Coupe. I'm am currently in mid build on this car. The engine is finished and is a 347 that makes currently 581 N/A hp (at the flywheel) on pump gas, The Trans is a TCI Super Street Fighter C6 with a 3500 stall and a 9 inch Currie rear with 4.10 gears. Now that I have all the major componets ready to install I am getting the car ready to assemble.
I'm working on a limited budget and taking my time on the build so I don't have any 1/4 mile times yet but I'm looking for a few shakedown passes by summertime. I hope to get to know some of you as I'm always looking to learn something new and always willing to share some expertice. JW
