Default VIN Characters

Can someone tell me what a "D" means in the 5th position of the code. I know what A &amp; C mean but a 65' convertible I'm looking at has the following vin:</P>

<TABLE style="WIDTH: 65pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=86 border=0 x:str>
<COLGROUP>
<COL style="WIDTH: 65pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 3145" width=86>
<T>
<TR style="HEIGHT: 11.25pt; mso-height-source: userset" height=15>
<TD class=xl24 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; WIDTH: 65pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; HEIGHT: 11.25pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=86 height=15><FONT face=Arial size=2>5F08D141681</FONT></TD></TR></T></TABLE></P>

Also, the door plate has the following: 76A A 86 20E 44 1 5.</P>

Does the second A mean Color Black?</P>

Does the 86 trim mean black? 20E? 44? I know the 1 means limited slip rearend and the 5 means 4 speed trans.</P>

THANKS,</P>
