Hello...
Well, I don't know what to put here...
Checking in I guess...
I have always been a GM guy and have built and run many trucks and f-bodies. I now run a 2005 GTO of my own, but I recently took on the task of building a 1965 Mustang for my dad. I bought the car from one of my troops about 2 years ago, but I just got started. Specs:
1965 Mustang GT
54,000 on the stock 289
3 speed manual
White on the outside, red on the inside
Factory AC
A little rusty...
I started the build by getting the car running after is hadn't started in almost 20 years. It turned out being the voltage regulator causing the issue, but after I got it running it ran and drove pretty well. I have since pulled the motor and set it on a stand. I am in the process of upgrading to a 40 over 351 Windsor. The motor is a cast block from a 1969 model ford. I went with an eagle rotating assembly, Edelbrock Aluminum heads and a custom grind cam. I am still collecting part for the motor and body, but so far so good.
I am sure I will have some questions...
