New Guy from AZ
Hey everyone...I figured after reading posts daily here for about a month now, I should at least introduce myself as another new guy to the forums. My name is Mike, and I live just outside of Phoenix.
I grew up in a house outside of NYC with two much older brothers, who each had Mustangs throughout my entire youth. Somehow, I knew I always wanted on, but always ended up getting something else.
About a month ago, a few guys at work were talking about things that they wanted to do as we all got older (we're all in our mid 40's now), and almost immediately I said that I've always wanted to restore a classic Mustang and take a drive across Route 66. Almost immediately, I started looking at the classics and after looking at about 30 cars, I found my '68.
I think it's a good looking car, although it still needs a lot of work. It's a great project for me, my daughters and my son to work on together, and who knows, maybe one of them will get it when they graduate from High School (just don't ever tell them that).
I have found out one thing though: it's not a cheap hobby, and fixing it up might be the most addictive thing I've ever done. In just the first 3 weeks, I've put about $2500 in upgrades into the car, so I'll be posting some updated pics in the upcoming weeks.
I have already learned to do a ton of stuff from so many people on this site, and hope to learn a lot more in the upcoming months. Thanks to everyone who is there to help us "newbies" out.

I always wanted a classic. When they came out with the new body style I had to have one. I would still like to have a classic to play with. Welcome to the forums and good luck with the project. Sounds like you may need to find a couple more to keep the kids happy.
