It came with a 351W. I know where I could get a Boss 302, 428 SCJ, or a 460. So a motor is just decision work for me, I still can't decide though. For the moment I am more concerned with getting the car rust free. The floor panels are shot, tail light panel is shot, and the hood cowl where the wiper blades on the passenger side is also shot. All in all that's only about $500 worth of reproduction body parts. I would like to get fiberglass fenders ( $650 ), a radiator support since mine is use-able but it was in a wreck and I don't want to use the one the previous owner made use-able ( $135 ), a new inner fender apron on the passenger side ( $35 ), and a new rear and front valance ( $109 + $70 ). I would also like to get seat risers but that isn't really necessary ( $120 ). A major issue with a lot of owners with a 71-73 Sportsroof ( Corporation talk for Fastback or Sedan ) is that you can't see over the mountian that is your dash, and if you can it's not easy to see over the hood since it's so long. Also the rear window is on a 14 degree slant that is the "Flatback" of the Mustang. This car was made with aerodynamics and performance in mind. I'm looking at around $1500 in just body parts, that doesn't include soda blasting for the main unibody section of this car. I've already stripped it down to the bare necessity.
