Default New here!

I'm from a mustang family. My dad owned 4 my mom 1 my brother 3 and me 2. My most recent being a 2000 gt vert. I loved it but I joined the Marine corps and had to say goodbye.

Recently my brother bought a 65 coupe in what he calls ok condition. It runs and drives but shakes bad at 50+.

Anyways he knows nothing about working on cars, especially old ones so he was gonna sell it off cheap but gave it to me instead. So I'll be around here a lot for advice as soon as I get the car up here to Maryland from Tampa. Just wanted to introduce myself!

Oh and if anyone hve any ideas why it my be shaking over 50mph in the front end please let me know. I think it's suspension or steering.

Could be just junk tires and unbalanced wheels/tires causing the shaking - if you're lucky.

Congrats on the car and what are you doing in Maryland? Thought there was an army base there, Aberdeen I think - but there are some Marines too I thought. Got my DD-214 like two and a half years ago so the memory's hazy.

Oh yeah and welcome to MF

Welcome to the forum! I had a problem with that once, it actually might be the tie rods but it could also be like reznap says junk tires.

I'm having my bro take it in for an alignment this week. They should be able to tell if there's any other issues down there.
