new here, my names jason. I was hard core import for the last 5 years or so. now heres my story. I got into the hype a little before the dreaded fastandfuriouse movie killed everything about cars. I bought a 1997 eclipse GS-T in 2000. and got bit HARD by the import bug. although my car was a "sucsess" it cam with a hefty price. in the matter of 2 1/2 years i found my self with a sponsored show/drag car. it was one of the cleanest imports i honestly have seen around my area...the little 4cyl dyno'd at 332hp@ 21lb's of boost. the only part of the car that was stock was the doors. heres the bad part....it that matter of 2 1/2 years i managed to put my self in the hole $22,000. and was living paycheck to paycheck. Im 24 and i live at home with my damn mom[X(]. and to make matters worse it was a car that was only driven in the summer on sunny days. and then it all fell apart....after 2 headgaskets, 3 turbos, 5 sets of injectors, 2 catbacks, and a butt load of other parts that kept breakin i have up. I bit the bullet and decided i needed to kill it before it killed me. and i stumbled on a 2002 mustang GT. a buddy has a 1993 5.0, and i started readin some info on them and took his car out for a spin. ......hooked!!!!!! I traded the eclipse and bought the GT. and never looked back(well besides to pay the left over bills).

so i am the type of person that when hooked needs to know EVERYTHING about it. I have a VERY tight path and know exactly what i want for the GT. i just need to learn how to do it by my self and looking for people that know.lol so here i am....

OH YEAH, because my GS-T was FWD...all of that 332hr = a 14.1 @ 108mph in the quarter....my buddys 5.0 ran a 14.5@ 99 with a bone stock motor....%&#* that!!!!!

 

Sorry to hear that you've got some money issues, but in due time, it'll work itself out. Just pay some of that debt before modding this one, and I'm sure you'll be fine. The good thing about mustangs is that there are cheap bolt ons that can add plenty of HP.

Ur not the only guy who had an eclipse. I am getting a 2002 mustang GT also in about a week. Right after the check comes from my bank I am hitting the dealer. I had a 2003 eclipse gts with tons of mods hopefully I can put the same amount of money in this car as I did in the eclipse to get great gains.
