Newbie here from Louisiana not Los Angeles. 
Live just outside of Baton Rouge it Denham Springs.
I just purchased a new 2008 Shelby Cobra GT500 vert a few months ago. I have wanted a GT500 since I saw the 68 come out when I was a kid. When Ford decided to make the GT500 again I saw it as my opportunity to have one for myself.
Did not consider buying a vert but my daughter and I were just looking around the showroom and the thing started calling my name. There was a Blackjack (which my daughter wanted), a 2009 black coupe and the 2008 Red vert. Got the salesman to give me prices on each but in the end the Red vert won out.
I love driving around with the top down and rarely put it up unless I have to.
Hope to have this ride for many years to come.

Thanks for the welcome. I know I still need a tune and CAI next. Few cosmetic items to add and then on to the engine work. Just not sure how much I really want to do, these things have a lot of power as it is.
