Default Hello Everyone

Not really new to the forums or mustangs but dont know a lot.
My mother gave me a 87 Ford Mustang LX. Has a 2.3 4cyl. with a 5 speed tranny. It needs a lot of work to be put back on the road.

I own a BMW i just dropped a lot of money into and watched it go down hill last winter all the way to this spring. I think i am done with the Bimmers. I grew up working on domestic cars. so i think thats where i outta stick.

My plans for it would be a 302 or 351 Modified. not sure yet. i dont have a lot of motivation b/c everything is so damn expensive now a days. Maybe this might be the boost to get the Bimmer parted and working on the Mustang instead. i havent did much research yet but plan on using this site for reference and help.

so first question is what should i start with?? body or motor?

i know i will be ripping the motor and tranny out first anyways. and the interior is gutted.

i will post pics up when i get over to my grandparents and get the car out.

this car has memories of my brother and sister and me fighting for the front seat and this was the family car my mom loved. but looks like its not worth fixing. i have the skills to get it done so thats not a problem.

My name is Matt

welcome Matt. Weigh out your options man. If you really want a stang and are not deadset on fixing that one up you might be better off buying a used one that wont require so much work.
