Hello Everyone
I just wanted too drop a line and say hello to everyone.
My oldest son just turned 16 and I purchased a 1993 LX for him that belonged to a friend of mine. The car has 76K original miles and is in good shape overall. It will need some minor body work from a wreck last year, paint and the interior cleared. My son is in his second year of Auto Tech and wants to replace/work on the car, with some help from me...well more my wallet :P. The car is a 4 cyl. 5 speed and has working AC. He filled the car with gas for the first time yesterday and it cost him $26.
I was wondering if it is possible to take off the mirrors and door molding and repaint them or would it be better just to buy new ones. The car is red with grey interior and I would like to keep the car as original as possible.
That's enough of my rambling.
Here is a pic of the car and if you look at the front of the door you can see te damage that needs to be fixed.
