Default Hello

Just returned from a year deployment in Afghanistan and picked up my 2010 GT! I'm new to Mustangs but can see why so many people love this vehicle. Does anyone have any recomendations on mod-shops in the central Texas area? I'm stationed in Ft. Hood, TX. (about an hour north of Austin). Any info would be appreciated. My wife is already annoyed with my obsession with this car, this forum and the Mustang magizines, lol!!!

Welcome to the forum! I don't know of any places near you but I'm sure if you did a search you would find a lot.

The '10 is a great looking car. Post pics if you can.

Thanks guys!
Wannabegearhead- I'll try and get some pics up, I'm still trying to learn all the in's and out's of the forum. As far as the hunt for a good shop goes, I'm gettin hits for shops in Austin, San Antonio and Houston but I want to make sure it's someone I can trust with my new toy. It's kind of sad but most of the buissness' around military instalations are out to get the soldiers money. The only performance shop in town wants almost 500.00 for a re-gear (no parts), sounds high to me. If they only knew how much more business they'd get from me if they'd shot straight with me...I'll work on those pics.

Welcome to the forums! Its sad that so many shops are only interested in making a quick buck and not building a positive relationship with a customer.

Welcome to the forum and welcome home. I did 15 months in Iraq and have been home almost a year. Don't worry too much about the wife. She'll get used to the car getting a lot of your attention. I know my wife did when I bought my Avalanche while still being deployed. tell her it's a stress reliever from the day to day grind of military life. It worked for me!
