Hey whats goin on?? This site seems really cool and really busy, I am looking forward to getting involved here!!!
Anyways, Like I mentioned before I just ran across the site... I bought my 1992 Ford Mustang LX Notchback 5.0 back in April... The car has 64 thoudand original miles, 1998 Mercedes Benz CLK series midnight blue with a custom metallic flake paint job, Dump out exhaust, headers, wires, 3.73 gears...
In late May I took it down to my fathers auto shop and set it in the corner and we have been rebuilding/tuning/ and restoring this thing
Since May I have added:
All Black interior
Stereo system (nothing fancy like all these ricers, just some tweeters, new speakers, and a cd player)
AOD to T5 swap with the upgraded syncro's (this was the funnest porject!!!)
17x9 Cobra R wheels and NITTO tires
Short Throw shifter
2.5 Cowl hood
Clear corner headlights
New rear suspension (it was shot)
Slotted and cross drilled front rotors and matching calipers
all new brakes and drums and everything on the rear brake system
I bought the car when it had a RED exterior and a RED interior....
I am currently Finishing up the T5 swap, just have a little bit to go and it should be done and i can put my new dash in and finish the little things and get my new hood bolted on!!!
Anyways it was a fun stock car even with the AOD but I'm dying to give it a drive with the T5!!!! I've put a lot of time and money into this car since I have owned it!! a lot of it.... I got out of motocross racing and bought a car and decided it was going to be my new toy!! I have been riding motocross for the past 10 years, so I hope this is going to be a well worth hobby of mine!!
Anyways my future plans for maybe the end of the summer if not this winter will be:
BBK Intake manifolds
AFR heads
BBK cold air intake
Y303 cam
70mm Throttle body
#24 injectors (MAF to match these last 2)
Aluminum Driove shaft (even though i just replace my AOD one with the used T5 packeage I bought from the junkyard)
New rockers
and just a little giddy up shot of nitrous, nothing big!!!
But those are my plans for the end of this year, and I'm confident to stay on track with it, so once it gets done I think I'll have myself a really nice car this spring!!!
Anyways, I was just dropping in to say hey!! My name is Rob Lawyer and I live in the Chicagoland area, Naperville to be exact!!! Like I said I look forward to being on here and getting involved!! I just recently joined a local car club... My 5.0 is very addicting!!! I am bumming driving around my 1999 Cavalier (winter car) while I have my stang all torn apart.... I hope to get to drive it for about a month once I finish the T5 swap, and then I'll put it away and start doing my winter mods!!!

I do hav pictures of the stang.... I have them from the first day I brought it home though!!
It's almost complete for now!!! so I'll wait till its done with the T5 swap the wheels and hood to come in before i take some more, you can see a before and after so far!! but thanks a lot guys, the site is very helpful already!!
