Hey Guys!
Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum. I don't own a Ford right now but I do have a '02 Subaru Impreza WRX. My two favorite cars are probably the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi and 2006 Ford GT. I have great respect for Fords engines and cars and would like to own a Mustang GT one day along with my WRX.
The reason I chose Ford over any other American car manufacturer is simply because of it's racing history. Beating Ferrari at their own game 4 times in the 1960's with the GT40 before Porsche took the torch in 1970 with the amazing 917.
Another car I would like to mention because it really deserves recognition is the Ford Shelby Daytona.
It gave Ferrari the run for their money in 1965 to the extent that Ferrari actually "canceled" the 24 Hours of Le Mans and made it into a Ferrari only event afraid of losing to this American underdog. If my memory serves me right 1965 was the last year Ferrari won the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
