Welp, I joined the dark side...
Looking down at my new car keys, I still can not grasp that my key has a "Ford" logo on it. I have owned a Firebird, several old Cadillac's, a GTO and I have always wanted a Camaro. Needless to say, I am a "GM Guy."
However, a few years ago Ford hosted a "come drive our new cars" event shortly after the 2005 Mustang came out. My buddy (also anti-Ford) and I attended the event merely for free entertainment and to drive some cars. We drove some random trucks and cars, then took the new GTs down the drag strip. Leaving the event, we were left thinking, "Wow, Ford is actually building some nice cars. Those Mustangs looked great, and they drove even better." Fast forward, I just graduated from ASU, and in my opinion, Ford is building some of the best cars on the road (maybe the best...)
Thanks to graduating college, depreciation, and a raise at work, I was ready to pull the trigger on a newer used car. 2002 Camaro SS? No financing. New Camaro/Challenger? Too much money. LS2 GTO? Past experience says no dice. Then I remember the Mustangs we drove, and see they are in my price range. I found a screaming deal on a MINT 2006 with all the mods I was planning, low miles, and the stock airbox/dealer brochures/paperwork/manuals in the trunk. Now I know the previous owner cared for this car, so I immediately signed the papers.
I could not be happier, I love everything about this car!
Zaino is next, then better pics. I can't express how clean this car is with words.
