Default Greetings

Let me introduce myself.

Well even though I have never owned a Mustang I have driven many over the years, on and off the track.

I have had the opportunity to put various Mustangs through their paces on a road course near where I live, Pacific Raceways (formerly Seattle International Raceway).

Cars included in some very hard laps included a 67 GT350 and a 96 Cobra Mystic. The latter was one of 1000 produced, according to the owner, who I was instructing at a club high performance driving school.

Unfortunately the car suffered an axle failure at speed on track and the car was destroyed. When the axle broke the car snapped around and impacted an earth bank backwards and sideways at around 100. Both seat backs broke and the kevlar helmet I was wearing shattered when it hit the B-pillar.

Bummer.

So I am one of those guys who has a Camaro (it is OK, you can horsewhip me later). I also have a bunch of Datsun 240Z's, one of which is a GT2 road race car with racing history going back to 79.

I do have a 76 Eliminator boat, with a 460 Ford engine and a Berkley jet drive. At least there is one Ford in my stable.

Oh, I just remembered, there is another Ford in my stable, a 1948 Ford 8N tractor. Everyone tells me I should show it because it looks so nice, but it is a working tractor, not a trailer queen.

Thanks!

I really like the new Mustang, Ford did their homework, and beat Chevy and Dodge.

I keep thinking I am going to get one, but I will never get rid of my old '72 Camaro, it always comes in handy as collateral when it is time for a refi on the house. It just keeps going up in value.

Greetings to you , as well. It appears someone we know is on a membership drive. At least, so far, she's only inviting the good peeps. Me thinks we should have a talk with her.
