New Member - Old Mustanger
Back in 1965 I purchased a brand new '65 coupe with a 289 and a 3-speed. I traded it in for a station wagon in 1969 as I became a new Dad. In 1997 I purchased a '66 Mustang (true) GT coupe since and still have it. In 2003 I purchased a 1997 Mustang GT convertible, but sold it in 2006 in order to purchase a 2006 Mustang GT convert. I've nearly always been a Ford man and love most Mustangs. The '06 has aftermarket chrome Dante 18X9" 5-spoke wheels, a V-6 Pony-Package grill, Hurst short-throw shifter (yes, it's a 5-speed stick), Flowmaster axle-back exhaust, white-face gauges, Roush hood scoop, K&N CAI,a nd a few other "goodies". I call the '66 my cruiser and my "06 my hotrod.
So far I'm impressed with the knowledge and maturity of the members on this site, and hope the same continues. Maybe I will even be able to offer a knowledgeable comment now and then!
