Default New from Florida

Hey guys. I just registered for this forum yesterday, even though I've had my mustang for over a year. My cousin recommended me to join a forum for my car. He said it is a great way to get suggestions and help when you need it and find deals for parts.

I have a 2010 V6 Mustang with the Premium Package. It has a black super snake stripe and a small spoiler. I want to get quarter window louvers and a dual exhaust system along with a cold air intake. I found a package on www.fordracing.com with all the performance parts I want. Here is the link: http://fordracingparts.com/parts/par...KeyField=11182

Do you think it's a good deal? Should I purchase it?

Also, what louvers do you think are the best? So far I like the louvers made by Roush.

Thanks,
Sean

Hey Sean. Welcome!

I lived in Riverview Florida for about a year back in 2003/2004.

I've heard good things about that exhaust, but I can't comment on the tuner. I have an SCT X3 tuner with BAMA tunes. Very happy with it. Maybe going with the Ford parts will not void the warranty. Not sure how that works.

Welcome to MF from the Great White North!

I don't know if the parts package from Ford is a good deal or not, but I am sure they are great quality. They are true, blue Ford, so they have to be good. However, before you take the plunge and spend your hard earned cash, take a look around at the web sites of some of the other Mustang performance parts companies that advertise here on MF such as American Muscle and Roush, just to name a couple. Visit the V6 performance area of the forum and ask the opinions of the people that hang out there. I'm sure you will get lots of advise, some of it conflicting to be sure, but you will learn a lot in the process. Have fun!

Welcome to the board!

I know it is tough to hold off any further, but if you can, you might want to wait until this summer and get an '11 V6 3.7L. The 3.7 has way more power than the 4.0L (despite its smaller displacement, and the 3.7L already make just 10 less crank BHP than the '10 4.6L V8!

The 3.7L has alot of room to grow and with mods, you will be stomping on 4.6L 'Stangs easily.

I wont be able to afford it. I will be a college student next year and I doubt my parents would help me pay for a new car after just paying for 3/4s of my car a year ago. Maybe after college I'll get a new car but this summer would be too soon.
