Welcome! Yep, it'd behoove you to look at the 99-04 tech section. I know in the 2005-2012 section, we have a sticky that lists all of the TSBs for our models so we know what to look for (especially the dreaded water-leak from '05-'06).

Motor swaps in most cars aren't easy. Especially in a v6, you'll not only need the motor, but the PCM, a new transmission to handle the power jump, and a new 8.8 rear end as the 7.5" rear end isn't exactly known for it's strength...

Not to discourage you from doing it, I don't know how mechanically inclined you are! It can be done, just takes some work!
